Kathmandu, Sept 16: US Chargé d'Affaires to Nepal, Megan Boldin, has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Balendra Shah today.

During the meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister in Singha Durbar, Prime Minister Shah emphasized the need to further strengthen global cooperation and collective efforts to reduce climate-induced disasters and address their impacts. 

Talking about Nepal's tourism potentials and opportunities for mutual benefits through its development, the Prime Minister requested the US official to encourage increased US investment in Nepal, shared PM Shah's Press and Research Expert, Dipa Dahal. 

Prime Minister Shah extended gratitude and solidarity towards the support of US to Nepal in difficult circumstances after Bhotekoshi flood and extended sorrow, saying foreigners were also affected along with Nepalis in such disaster. 

Extending sorrow over the loss of lives and properties due to flood, Charge d' Affaires Boldin expressed solidarity of US government towards the government of Nepal and Nepali people during this difficult hour. 

She underlined that the US government was ready to provide support in relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts.
