Farewell to RSS chair Ranamagar
Kathmandu, Oct 9: Chairman of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Uday Bahadur Ranamagar, has been bidden farewell amidst a programme at RSS central office, Bhadrakali on Friday.
RSS general manager Sandip Rai expressed gratitude to chairman Ranamagar for the latter's tremendous contribution to RSS irrespective of a short stint- six months. Ranamagar provided good leadership and assisted constructively for the institutional and policy reforms of RSS, Rai added.
Outgoing chairman Ranamagar who is also the joint secretary said RSS was in need of bringing a new Act because it had a very old law, RSS Act-2019. He would extend support to RSS reform from his side although he was transferred recently from the Ministry of Information and Communications. He suggested RSS employees to build further unity and collaboration to advance the news media.
He is transferred to the Ministry of Defense.
On the occasion, chief editor Uttam Silwal praised chairman Ranamagar's role in financial strengthening of RSS for the current fiscal year.
Chief reporter Yekraj Pathak also lauded Ranamagar's memorable contribution to ensure reform at RSS. Even a short time is enough for good work, which Ranamagar proved, Pathak claimed.
Chief of international desk, Dilip Adhikari, expressed happiness over the progress RSS made in financial and physical fronts during the time Ranamagar led.
Feature section chief Krishna Adhikari viewed outgoing chairman Ranamagar's contribution would be remembered at RSS.
Acting chief of administrative section, Bharat KC, featured the examples of reforms launched under Ranamagar's leadership such as forwarding recruitment process, process to amend laws/act, the organization and management survey and additional physical infrastructures and pay hike to stringers.
