Kathmandu, Sept 22: Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, and Home Minister, Sudhan Gurung, sought information about the 'weather forecast and increasing rainfall activity across the country from Wednesday. 
The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology had reported that the effect of a low-pressure system developing in the Bay of Bengal would increase rainfall activity in Nepal from Wednesday. 
Accordingly, today, Minister Shrestha and Minister Gurung visited the Department to seek information about the strong low-pressure area developing in the Bay of Bengal. 
The Department stated that they received a briefing from officials about the potential impact the evolving system could have on rainfall pattern in Nepal. 
“The impact of this system might increase rainfall activity in Nepal starting from tomorrow (Wednesday). The Department will provide regular updates on this,” it is stated.
